Man arrested and charged in alleged break and enter

Shortly after 11:15 pm on February 22, 2024 Richmond RCMP attended the 7300 block of Westminster Highway for a possible break and enter in progress.

Richmond RCMP Frontline officers quickly contained the area. As Richmond RCMP officers were containing the building, a man exited the business through the front door and attempted to leave the area on foot.

Richmond RCMP frontline officers located and arrested the man immediately.

The suspect was arrested and held in-custody.

Simon James Elliot has been charged with one count of break and enter under Section 348(1)(A) of the Criminal Code.

This investigation remains active and ongoing.
